I’ve always liked taking something instantly recognizable and changing one detail that makes the entire scene feel different. The Great Wall represents history, scale and permanence. An office represents routine, deadlines and the everyday.

Putting the two together creates a world that makes almost no sense, and somehow makes perfect sense at the same time.

That contradiction is a big part of what inspired Oddly Enough: familiar things placed where they don’t belong, just to see what happens.
